Wolfchase Galleria reopened for business, new protocols in place
MEMPHIS — Wolfchase Galleria reopened for business Saturday, the mall announced. It has been closed since March 19.
The mall also published a “COVID-19 Exposure Control Policy” outlining health and safety standards for the reopening. Protocols have been shared with all tenants, per the announcement.
Wolfchase Galleria also announced it is working with local non-profits “to support initiatives aimed at assisting those in the community experiencing hardship as a result of COVID-19.” The mall said it has also joined a national initiative to host food banks, clothing donations, COVID-19 mobile testing and blood drives. A breakdown of which stores are open is on the mall’s website, as well its planned COVID-19 protocols. Some of those include:
❚ Enhanced cleaning measures, with an emphasis on high-traffic locations like dining areas, restrooms, escalators, stairs, directories, trash bins and door knobs.
❚ Making masks, wipes and temperature screenings available at entrances or offices.
❚ Hand sanitizing stations.
❚ Encouraging employees and shoppers to stay home within 72 hours of COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms.
❚ Encouraging handwashing and offering personal protective equipment to employees.
❚ Promotion and enforcement of social distancing practices, including occupancy limitations, furniture and restroom spacing and closure of play areas and strollers.
Wolfchase Galleria is one of several Simon Property Group shopping centers to recently reopen across the country.
