John Prine tribute concert coming June 11

There’s no question that if the world hadn’t lost John Prine during a pandemic, it’d be impossible to count all the tribute concerts – big and small – that would have immediately sprouted up.

Instead, stages have been silent in the six weeks that have passed since the legendary songwriter’s death due to COVID-19 complications.

Next month, Prine’s family, friends and fans will get to gather – digitally – to honor the man and sing his songs.

“Picture Show: A Tribute Celebrating John Prine” will premiere June 11 at 6:30 p.m CT on multiple platforms, including Prine’s Youtube and Facebook accounts.

A lineup has not been released.
