Here’s a look at promotions, hirings, movers and newsmakers in the Memphis area:
h Sheryl Wells recently was named assistant manager of Crye-leike Real Estate Services Cordova branch office. She’ll be partially responsible for the recruitment, training and management of the office’s sales associates. Wells has been in the real estate industry for 23 years and has a broker’s license in Tennessee and Mississippi.
h Also at Crye-leike Real Estate Services, Hart Kelman is now affiliated with the Quail Hollow branch office as a licensed Realtor. She specializes in residential, first-time homebuyer and relocation real estate services throughout the Metro Memphis area. For the past two years Kelman has been an agent recruiter. h Several Realtors associated with Marx-bensdorf in April were recognized at the Memphis Area Association of REALTORS annual Multi-million Dollar
Club banquet. Cited were Melanie Blakeney (first-year member); John Philip West (second-year member); Mindy Okeon Mattingly (third year member); Stephanie Sheahan (third-year member); Diane Benson Malkin (fourth-year member); Kelly Erb (new Life member); Robin Fauser (new Life member) and Jake Lawhead (new Life member). Two Marx-bensdorf agents were recognized for their service on the Multi-million Dollar Club board of directors: Cathleen Black as a two-year director and Kelly h Glankler Brown has a new of counsel when Denise Mccrary joined the firm. She’s held the highest lawyer rating by Martindale-hubbell for more than 34 years and focused on representing clients in marriage, child custody, visitation, spousal and child support, alimony, division of property, adoption and prenuptial agreements. h In January, the membership committee and the board of directors of the Society of Entrepreneurs selected
Edith Kelly-green for induction as a member. Members are chosen by their peers for demonstrating creativity, integrity and the ability to transform a vision into a dynamic business accomplishment. Membership is made up of established Mid-south business owners, presidents and other key executives. Including positions at Deloitte and Fedex, and a battle with breast cancer were all steps on a journey from humble beginnings to founding her own company the KGR Group. Her determination and perseverance has developed a passion for running — she has run a marathon in every state in the nation and in Jamaica, Cayman islands, Canada, Mexico, Chile and Antarctica. She’ll be honored at an upcoming dinner and awards banquet.
h The Seam, a provider of agribusiness software and trading solutions, announced the appointment of Beth Wilson as director of marketing and public relations. She’ll manage and enhance branding of the company. Previously, Wilson held various marketing and PR positions for several companies in the Greater Memphis area, including her most recent role as director of public relations at a full-service communications firm. She is an adjunct professor in the Department of Journalism and Strategic Media at the University of Memphis.
