Here’s a look at promotions, hirings, movers and newsmakers in the Memphis area: h Charles Blank, vice president of stores for Autozone, has joined the board of Memphis Athletic Ministries, a nonprofit serving more than 700 kids each day through eight gyms in highneeds neighborho­ods across Memphis, and delivering sports, academics, mentoring and the gospel. During the COVID-19 quarantine, MAM has shifted to connecting with kids virtually and serving families via mobile food pantries in partnershi­p with the Mid-south Food Bank. He joined Autozone as a parttime employee in 2000 and became a store manager in 2001. Blank was named vice president of stores in 2018. h Crye-leike Real Estate Services announced that Rollin Rosatti is now affiliated with its Germantown-forest Hill Irene branch office as a licensed Realtor. He will serve the residentia­l real estate needs of buyers and sellers throughout Shelby and surroundin­g counties. h Rhodes College ranks 11th for “Students Most Engaged in Community Service” and is recommende­d as one of the nation’s best institutio­ns for undergradu­ates to earn their college degree in The Princeton Review’s newest edition of The Best 386 Colleges. “We salute Rhodes College for its outstandin­g academics and we are truly pleased to recommend it to prospectiv­e applicants searching for their personal ‘bestfit’ college,” said Robert Franek, The Princeton Review’s Editor-in-chief and lead author of The Best 386 Colleges. More than 80 percent of Rhodes College students are engaged doing meaningful work in the community. h Campbell Clinic recently announced the retirement­s of its chief executive effective Jan. 1, 2021. For the past 25 years, George Hernandez has led Campbell Clinic, initially as chief financial officer and since 2010, as the organizati­on’s CEO. A planned executive leadership succession was announced Aug. 20 upon Hernandez’s retirement with Daniel Shumate assuming the role of CEO. Shumate has served as CFO since 2010. The Memphis Business Journal lists Campbell Clinic as the largest independen­t physician practice.
