Benjamin Arnold Harrell Sr.

BOOKER, TX - February 26, 1945-December 1, 2020. Benjamin Arnold Harrell, Sr. passed away in the early morning hours of Tuesday, December 1, 2020. He went peacefully in the comfort and presence of visiting children at Twin Oaks Manor in Booker, TX. Benjamin was 75 years old.

Benjamin was born in Memphis, TN on February 26, 1945. He was the seventh child and third son born to Martha (Cox) and Benjamin Lee Harrell of Memphis, TN.

Benjamin enjoyed his work as a Master Plumber, Master HVAC technician and Master Gas and Refrigeration technician in his 50 plus year business Harrell and Sons. He was an avid Tennessee Volunteer football fan, but loved all football in general. He loved all ten of his grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Benjamin was preceded in death by his parents, Martha (Cox) and Benjamin Lee Harrell and his siblings, Willie Murrel (brother), Robert Lee (brother), Sue Griffin (sister), Martha Harmon (sister) and Robert Harrell, Jr. (nephew).

Benjamin is survived by his siblings, Rose Teter (sister) of Little Rock, AR and Lucy Mckinney (sister) of Alaska, as well as his children, Benjamin Arnold Harrell, Jr of Eureka, KS, who has a son Austin; Sonya M. Skaggs and husband, Berry, of Yukon, OK, who has two sons Augustin (who has a daughter Zaylee) and Hadley Skaggs; Timothy P. Harrell and wife, Stacy, of Cabot, AR, who has a son and daughter, Kristian and Jordyn Lee; Benjamin Michael Harrell of Memphis, TN, who has a daughter and son, Christina and Jacob; CPT Nicholas B. Harrell and wife, Joanna, stationed in Oahu, Hawaii, who has two sons, Jayden and Bradley Dean, and a daughter, Piper. He also has several nieces and nephews that were close to him.

A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, December 18, 2020 at 10:30am at Serenity Funeral Home in Memphis, TN.
