PHOENIX, AZ - Amos Harrison Brock, Jr passed away on December 20, 2020 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born October 5, 1935 in El Paso Texas. Harrison was the son of Amos Harrison Brock, Sr. and Mildred Louise Hussmann Brock.

Harrison attended school in El Paso Public Schools eventually graduating from the University of Texas- El Paso (known at the time as Texas Western College). He earned a bachelor’s degree in business.

While in College he was a member of the Sardonyx Honorary Fraternity, Sigma Alpha Epsilon Social Fraternity, and the Golf Team. He was a distinguis­hed military graduate earning a commission in the college R.O.T.C. Program.

Harrison served from 1958-1960 as a lieutenant in the United States Army as a field artillery officer. Most of that time was spent at Fort Lewis in Washington State.

After his military service Harrison worked in the accounting office at the El Paso National Gas Company. In 1962, he joined the Campbell Soup Company as a salesman where he enjoyed a successful career advancing to district sales manager. During this time Harrison married Judith Gayle Graham. While living in Kansas City, Missouri they welcomed their only son, Brady Graham Brock on October 23, 1970.

Harrisons career took him to Memphis, Tennessee where he met and married Carol Jean Kellon Brock, ( Jeannie) on September 28th, 1981. In 1990 Harrison retired and enjoyed spending time golfing. Not one to sit still, Harrison worked at Boatman’s Bank and The Bank of Bartlett to stay engaged in the community.

In 1999, Harrison and Jeannie moved to Phoenix, Arizona where Harrison officially retired from work life. Harrison spent many pleasant hours playing golf, enjoying time with Jeannie, family and friends.

Harrison will be greatly missed. He leaves a legacy of a man who was hard working and was very welcoming. When people describe Harrison, they always begin with the word kind. He leaves behind his wife Carol Jean Brock of Phoenix; Son, Brady Brock of Abilene Texas and grandsons; Brennon (21), Maddox (14), and River (12). He will also be missed by Carol Jean’s daughters of Phoenix, Lauren Civer, Amy Civer and Jennifer Romero and their families. In addition, Harrison leaves behind his sister Mildred S. Magers, her husband Bud Magers and many nieces and nephews. We regret that due to current circumstan­ces there will be no services.
