Thomas Joseph Robinson passed away peacefully on December 30, 2020, at the age of 80. After graduating from Christian Brothers High School, Tommy attended the University of Notre Dame graduating from Christian Brothers College then attending Memphis State School of Law.

As a practicing CPA and attorney for over 50 years he was always so willing to serve as trustee, executor, counselor, or whatever was needed for his clients and friends. Tommy also served as member/officer of numerous profession­al organizati­ons. He was honored with various awards and recognitio­ns, including an induction into CBHS Hall of Fame Class of 1979-80. An avid golfer for many years, he enjoyed playing with his family and friends (especially, the “Partakers” group). One of his great passions over the years was time spent with “Nanny’s crew” at the farm and the beach where great times were never in short supply.

These memorable beach family reunions are also where he acquired the affectiona­te nickname “Big Guy”. He is preceded in death by his parents, John E. Robinson and Helen Leppert Robinson; his brother, Dr. John E. Robinson, Jr.; and two cherished nephews John D. Crosby and Jeffrey W. Robinson. He is survived by his loving wife of more than 60 years, Penny H. Robinson; sons, Thomas J. Robinson, Jr.(patty) and William E. Robinson (Laura); daughter, Dawn R. Hennessey (Bill); 8 grandchild­ren, J., Patrick, Josh, Kelsey & Taylor Robinson; John, Andrew & Will Hennessey; Amber Nelson, Ryan Nelson; 5 great-grandchild­ren, many beloved nieces & nephews and his trusty sidekick Kirby, his West Highland Terrier.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the University of Notre Dame, Ave Maria Home, or MIFA Food Bank. Visitation will be Monday, January 4 at 5:30pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home followed by rosary at 6:30. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, January 5 at St Peter Catholic Church at 1:30pm and will be limited to family with COVID restrictio­ns.
