DYESS COLONY - Nellie Maryanne Ring, born June 19, 1923 in Dyess Colony, AR, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on January 12, 2021. She joined her Lord and Savior and was reunited with her groom, William Elvin Ring. Theirs was a love story like no other. They were married for 75 years after dating for 3 weeks.

She leaves behind four children; Georita Yant of Oakland, TN, Donna Blancett of Millington, TN, Tom Ring of Thompson Station, TN and Denise Suthoff of Rossville, TN. She was grandmother to ten, great-grandmother to 15 and great-greatgrandmother to twelve. She leaves them a legacy of a perfect example of a Proverbs 31 woman. She was a woman of Noble Character.

She was in the ministry working right beside her husband. Together they pastored churches all of their lives until they retired from pastoring at age 80. She loved her Lord and Savior and walked with him daily. Her life was spent caring for their family even though they were never financially wealthy, their home was rich in love. She truly was more precious than rubies.

There was never a lazy bone in her. As a young girl, she worked in the cotton fields, picking cotton from the time she was 7. Always helping to provide for the family. Her hands were always busy planting gardens, cooking and serving for her family.

She always had extra food prepared in the event that someone drop by that had not eaten. She carefully watched over her household. She was clothed with strength and dignity.

Her quick wit and sense of humor along with all her wisdom were treasured by all who knew her.her children stand and bless her. Her husband praised her. There are many virtuous and capable women in the world but she surpassed them all. Charm is deceptive and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised.

The family will receive friends Sunday, January 17, 2021 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm with Funeral Services to follow at 2:00pm at Collierville Funeral Home with a reception to follow the service. She will be laid to rest at the West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. Online condolences and memorial tributes can be made at www.colliervillefuneral.com
