Luis Felipe Bueno, 96, of Egg Harbor Township, NJ, and formerly Memphis, TN, and Cardenas, Cuba, passed away peacefully of natural causes in his home on January 12, 2021. He worked for many years as a child psychologi­st helping many, many families in Memphis, in private practice, in mental health centers, and at St. Jude’s Hospital. He was born in Cardenas, Cuba, his family later moving to Havana. He came to the United States in 1945. He graduated from Warren Wilson Junior College in North Carolina, and Berea College in Kentucky, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree. He earned his Ph. D. in Psychology at the University of Tennessee. He is predecease­d by his wife of 63 years, Zinnie Bueno. The two of them enjoyed traveling the world together. After retiring from practice, Dr. Bueno was a very active volunteer in the senior community in Memphis and continued his volunteer work after moving to New Jersey, most notably at Egg Harbor Township Senior Center and at the clubhouse in his senior living community. He loved classical music and, most passionate­ly, opera, sharing his great appreciati­on with others. He is survived by his daughter Marcia Lipari and son-in-law Jack Lipari, his grandchild­ren George Lipari (Jodi) and Juliet Lipari, his great granddaugh­ter, and joy of his life, Ellanora Grace, his brother, Anibal Bueno (Lana), of Cumming, Georgia, and numerous nieces and nephews. Because of Covid related issues, a celebratio­n of his life will take place on a future date.
