Here are the top 10 Memphis area high school boys basketball teams as picked by The Commercial Appeal.

1. Christian Brothers (20-0): The DIIAA West region champion Purple Wave was idle last week. Junior guard Chandler Jackson was named region player of the year. Last week: No. 1.

2. Houston (15-3): Houston was idle last week. The Mustangs were supposed to face Minnehaha (Minnesota), which features the nation's No. 1 college basketball prospect, five-star center Chet Holmgren, but the game was canceled due to inclement weather. Last week: No. 2

3. FACS (17-0):Daniel Egbuniwe's 22-point, 13 rebound double-double powered the Crusaders past Jackson Christian and into the DII-A quarterfin­als. Last week: No. 3

4. Bartlett (16-7): The Panthers were idle last week and are set to host Arlington Wednesday for the District 14-AAA title. Last week: No. 4

5. MUS (12-4): The Owls, which were idle last week, were set to close out the regular season against Briarcrest Monday night. Last week: No. 5

8. ECS (15-8): Marquette signee Kameron Jones scored 26 points in the Eagles' 45-27 win over Northpoint. Last week: No. 8
