Frost Bake Shop to open a third location in Lakeland this summer
Frost Bake Shop will open a third location in Lakeland’s The Lake District development in late summer.
Bill Kloos, founder and owner of Frost, is anticipating a positive response to this addition. “Our amazing team has worked hard to make this possible, and we look forward to offering our made-from-scratch desserts, and great service, to Lakeland and the surrounding areas,” Kloos said.
Frost will occupy 3,200-square-foot space in phase one of the development.
Frost Bake Shop is known for its from-scratch cakes, cupcakes, specialty cookies and other freshly baked desserts. Frost currently has two locations — one at Poplar and Perkins in East Memphis and the other in Collierville.
Several Memphis businesses have already committed to the Lake District project including Gould’s, Gloss Nail Bar, Hokkaido East, Frida’s Mexican, Marshall Steakhouse and Lakeland Wine & Liquor.
The Lake District’s director of development, Maggie Gallagher, believes people are now ready for locally sourced and owned offerings in Northern Shelby County.
“With the I-40 access as well as 269/ 385, The Lake District is easy to get to from just about every point in the area,” said Gallagher, adding that 65,000 vehicles pass by daily on I-40.
