Lovesac showroom coming to Germantown this year
Saddle Creek in Germantown will soon welcome “the world’s most adaptable couch” store, according to The Lovesac Co.
Lovesac, a furniture store, will open a 1,989-square-foot showroom at the Shops of Saddle Creek South between UNTUCKIT, a men’s clothing store, and Kendra Scott, a jewelry shop, at the end of 2021.
“We are excited to be opening our showroom in Saddle Creek, as we continue to grow the Lovesac brand,” said Shawn Nelson, Lovesac CEO and founder. “We look forward to continuing to help people reduce their ecological footprint by building products that are built to last a lifetime, designed to evolve with the customer, provide long-term utility and ultimately reduce the amount of furniture discarded into landfills.”
The Stamford, Connecticut-based home furnishing brand is known for its “Sactional,” a rearrangeable, washable and eco-friendly couch.
The Saddle Creek showroom will be Lovesac’s first store in the Memphis area.
Saddle Creek shoppers can expect to test out the Sactionals and Sacs, essentially beanbags filled with Durafoam, a recycled foam remnant, at the new showroom.
A Lovesac news release said on average the company repurposes about 600 water bottles to make the base upholstery fabric.
“Sactionals have been designed to be strong enough to withstand the test of time, thus reducing the amount of furniture waste being added to landfills each year,” the release said.
Lovesac currently has 91 retail showrooms in the United States. The Germantown location will be the second in Tennessee. The other is at The Mall at Green Hills in Nashville.
Saddle Creek is a 173,000-squarefoot shopping center with more than 40 retailers including Apple, lululemon and Michael Kors.
