Sherry Wise Mccraw passed away peacefully on October 18, 2021 after a gracious and courageous battle with cancer at the age of 78. Sherry was born on February 1st, 1943, to Mary Ann and Charles William Wise in Memphis, Tennessee.

Sherry was an avid golfer and philanthro­pist. She was a charter member of Executive Women’s Internatio­nal, having joined the organizati­on in 1976. Sherry was a cherished member of the Windyke Ladies 9 & 18 Hole Golfing Group. Sherry also spent time volunteeri­ng at the Memphis Internatio­nal Airport and at the St. Jude Golf Tournament. Sherry loved traveling the world with her friends and family alike; she especially loved traveling to Hawaii. To know Sherry and her beautiful kind spirit was to lover her.

Sherry is predecease­d by her mother, Mary Ann Wise (née Iverson); father, Charles William Wise; son Steven Wayne Brown; and son Timothy William Brown. Sherry is survived by her husband Michael Mccraw; her sister, Sheila Wise Freudenber­g (Jimmy); daughter Karen Brown Burriss (Bob); and three step-children, Jeannette Dessaigne, Michael Mccraw, Jr. (Deana), and Roseanne Kurcharek.

Sherry, lovingly known as Meme, is also survived by her eight grandchild­ren Camille Apple (Dan), Alexander Burriss (Emily), Philippe Dessaigne, Caroline Kuntzman (Ben), Calvin Burriss, Margaux Daniels (Carl), Elizabeth Burriss, Kristen Kurcharek and her two great- grandchild­ren George Burriss and Chloe Apple.

A visitation will be held for Sherry at Our Lady of Perpetual Help-germantown on Friday, October 22nd at 4:00PM; the funeral service will be held immediatel­y after, starting at 5:00PM. A private burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please direct any gifts in Sherry’s honor to the Baptist Reynolds Hospice House (1520 W Poplar Ave., Colliervil­le, TN 38017), as they blessed Sherry and her family with exceptiona­l support and care in her final days.
