Staks Pancake Kitchen expanding with franchise deal
Franchise partner plans for 10 in Atlanta area
Staks Pancake Kitchen is expanding outside the Memphis area.
On Wednesday, The Bailey Group announced its partnership with Atlanta-based Classics Dining and Hospitality Group to expand its Staks Pancake Kitchen concept outside the Memphis market. This milestone marks the restaurant’s first expansion into the franchising market.
Staks Pancake Kitchen finalized a Franchise Disclosure Document with Classics Dining and Hospitality Group, and they are planning for 10 concepts in the Atlanta area. Classics Dining and Hospitality group is also considering locations in Birmingham, Alabama, and Chicago.
“Since opening Staks’ doors in 2015, it’s been a long-term goal of mine to elevate the brand to a national level,” said Brice Bailey, owner of Staks Pancake Kitchen. “We think our unique menu and consistently good food, served in a vibrant environment, will resonate with audiences outside of Memphis. It’s a dream come true to expand Staks’ footprint with partners who believe in our mission and vision as a company.”
Each franchise will feature Staks’ staple menu items, including its wide selection of pancakes, coffee drinks, specialty cocktails, create-your-own omelets, shareables and several other classic breakfast staples, plus a growing menu of lunch offerings.
Bailey is encouraging future owners to diversify their menu offerings by identifying local farms to source ingredients and creating dishes exclusive to their own location.
“We are excited about bringing Staks Pancake Kitchen to our part of the world — Atlanta, Georgia,” said Lynda Sanford, CEO of Classics Dining and Hospitality Group. “We are joining an exceptional brand and look forward to taking it regionally and beyond. Staks’ emphasis on family values and delicious food in a fun, welcoming environment spoke to me personally as a grandparent and parent. I think the citizens of Georgia will fall in love with Staks just as much as my family and I have.”
Currently, Staks Pancake Kitchen has two locations — the original location in the Laurelwood Collection in East Memphis and another location in the Germantown Village Square shopping center. A third location in Southaven, at the Silo Square development, is set to open this fall.
