No. 3 Oklahoma 35, Kansas 23: Caleb Williams threw two touchdown pass, ran 40-yards for a score on a pivotal fourth down and visiting Oklahoma (8-0, 5-0 Big 12) rallied to beat Kansas (1-6, 0-4) and avoid an enormous upset Saturday.

The Sooners trailed by double figures on two occasions – including 10-0 at the half –- but outscored the Jayhawks 35-13 in the second half to win their 16th straight game.

Jason Bean passed for 246 yards and a score for Kansas, which led 17-7 late in the third quarter.

A 66-yard run by Trevon West sparked the Oklahoma offense after that. and scored two plays later for their first lead, 21-17, early in the fourth quarter.

Kansas was able to stay in the game because of the legs of Devin Neal who ran for 100 and a pair of touchdowns. Kansas didn’t punt for the first time until the fourth quarter.

In his second start, Williams threw for 178 yards, ran for 70 and converted two key fourth downs, one with the long TD run midway through the fourth quarter to make it 28-17 and another when he pulled the ball away from teammate Kennedy Brooks, who appeared stopped behind the line.

Kansas State 25, Texas Tech 24: Skylar Thompson passed for 296 yards and the game-winning touchdown and visiting Kansas State (4-3, 1-3) came up with sacks on Texas Tech’s final two plays to take a victory.

Thompson’s TD pass to Deuce Vaughn with just over six minutes left helped the Wildcats snap an eight-game conference losing streak.

The Red Raiders (5-3, 2-3) were driving into fieldgoal range with two first downs, reaching K-state’s 46-yard-line with three minutes to go. But the Wildcats’ defense came up big when Felix Anudike-uzomah sacked Texas Tech quarterbac­k Henry Colombi for a 6-yard loss and Nate Matlack dropped him for a 1-yard loss.

K-state fought back to take the 25-24 lead with a drive aided when Texas Tech’s Devin Drew was flagged for a hands-to-the-face penalty on a play that would have ended with the Wildcats facing fourthand-16.

Instead, K-state got an automatic first down and quarterbac­k Skylar Thompson threw four consecutiv­e completion­s, the last to Vaughn for a 22-yard touchdown.

Kansas State climbed back into the game with a third-quarter safety and touchdown following the free kick.

Anudike-uzomah stuffed Sarodorick Thompson for a 4-yard loss in the end zone to close a two-touchdown halftime deficit to 24-12. Malik Knowles had a 31-yard return on the free kick and the Wildcats drove 69 yards to pull within 24-19 on Vaughn’s 2-yard burst on fourth-and-1.
