BARTLETT - Clinton “Clint” Hubert Hawkinson, age 91, of Bartlett, TN, passed away November 2, 2021, in Lansing, KS. Clint was born on March 8, 1930, in Killdeer, North Dakota to Emil and Faith Hawkinson. He was one of 13 siblings, and he had three sets of twin siblings. Clinton graduated from Killdeer High School, and the Dakota Business College in Fargo, North Dakota.

He was a Korean War Veteran having served in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953. After returning home, he was awarded the Korean Service Medal with one battle star, the United Nations Service Medal, and a Combat Infantry Badge for his service in the Army. He was a member of the American Legion. He worked for the US Air Force, The Social Security Administra­tion, and retired from Government Service with the Internal Revenue Service after 34 years in July, 1992. Clint also worked for 17 years with the Boy Scouts of America in Bartlett, TN. He was awarded the Bronze Pelican by the Diocese in recognitio­n of his work with the Boy Scouts. He also did volunteer work as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in the Juvenile Court System in Memphis, TN.

Clint was preceded in death by his wife, Leona, in 2015. He is survived by 2 sons: David of Memphis, TN and Michael of Basehor, KS; one Granddaugh­ter, Kaitlin, of Leavenwort­h, KS; 3 Brothers: Patrick of Killdeer, ND, Donald of Butte, MT, and Robert of Tulsa, OK; and 2 Sisters: Patricia of Dunn Center, ND and Mabel of Love land, CO. He was also preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, and 3 sisters.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, November 14th at Memphis Funeral Home, 3700 N Germantown Pkwy, Bartlett, TN. Funeral Services will be at 11:00am on Monday, November 15th at St. Ann Catholic Church, 6529 Stage Rd, Bartlett, TN, with graveside services afterwards at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown Pkwy, Bartlett, TN. Clint was a communican­t at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bartlett, TN since 1972, and also worked with the St. Vincent de Paul Society. He was an honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to St. Ann Catholic Church or the charity of your choice.
