Diane Sue Offenbache­r Botto, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at St Francis Hospital in Bartlett at the age of 81.

Diane was born October 9, 1940, to Susan Cocca Offenbache­r and Richard Offenbache­r of Springfiel­d, Ohio. She attended St Joseph School until 7th grade. In the summer of 1952, she moved to Memphis Tennessee and continued her education at St. Michael’s School and graduated from Sacred Heart School for Girls in 1958. She was recognized as Memphis Business student of the year.

She went to work at Reynolds Aluminum until she married. As her children got older, she returned to the work force as a bookkeeper. Most of her bookkeepin­g years was at Christian Brothers High School.

Diane is survived by her children Richard (Jean) Botto, Thomas J Botto and Elizabeth “Libby” Doyle, and grandchild­ren Samuel Botto, Abigail Doyle, Owen Doyle, and Margaret Doyle; along with two sisters Judy Tremmel and Susie (Steve) Apking; and her nieces and nephews.

She was a member at Church of the Holy Spirit. Diane spent her retirement years sewing baby quilts for many charities and playing mahjong. Diane enjoyed watching sports particular­ly baseball and loved to help keep the scorebook and statistics, for her children and at CBHS.

A funeral mass will be celebrated 11 a.m., Monday, March 14, 2022, at the Church of the Holy Spirit. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. at the church, and burial will follow the mass in All Saints Cemetery.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Church of the Holy Spirit.
