Here is the Commercial Appeal’s Allmetro boys wrestling teams. There are six nominees for the Memphis area high school boys wrestler of the year. The winner will be announced this spring at the sixth annual Memphis Area High School Sports Awards, presented by Farm Bureau Health Plans.

Colby Baltz

Houston, So.

Weight class: 106 pounds

Why chosen: Baltz placed third at the Class AA state meet, defeating Stiles Miller .

Alex Ropiski

Christian Brothers, Jr.

Weight class: 113 pounds

Why chosen: Ropiski took third at the Division II state meet, defeating Malachi Puckett with a pin in 3:21.

Hunter Heflin

Arlington, So.

Weight class: 120 pounds

Why chosen: Heflin took second in the 120-pound Class AA state meet, losing by a 1-0 decision.

Steven Dindl

Bartlett, Sr.

Weight class: 126 pounds

Why chosen: Dindl finished in fourth place at the Class AA state meet, losing to Logan Fowler in the third-place match.
