Memphis area business scene:
Dana Maury recently joined Delta Asset Management as chief compliance officer and vice president of
Operations. Her primary responsibilities include ensuring that Delta’s compliance and operational policies and procedures are maintained and followed. She has more than 20 years of work experience with financial and investment firms, beginning her career with National Bank of Commerce. Glankler Brown announced Joseph Horowitz is now Of Counsel with the firm. He joined the firm in February after having been with another area firm for five years. He concentrates his practice in the area of civil litigation. Horowitz is licensed to practice in Tennessee and New York. Between
2007 and 2017, he was an in-house attorney at AIG Insurance in New York. Deborah Waters Turner recently joined Agape Child and Family Services as the
nonprofit’s new Teamworks Director. Teamworks is Agape’s workforce readiness program, designed to promote adult self-sufficiency by addressing barriers to education attainment, employment and financial empowerment. She received her master’s degree in education from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo. Turner is certified as a K-12 school administrator and is certified to teach both vocational and traditional classes in business administration, management, marketing and applications for grades 6 through 12 in both Michigan and Tennessee. Previously, she was the Student and Community Relations advisor and director of the South City Community Resource Center.
Crye-leike Real Estate Services named its 2021 Top Producing award recipients for the West Tennessee and North Mississippi region. To be named a Top Producing agent or team in one of Crye-leike’s regions, individuals must have earned the highest sales volume or had the highest number of real estate transactions for that year. The associates who were recognized are: Anna Bishop (Arlington branch), top producing agent by sales volume ($25,136,644); Tracy Kirkley (Olive Branch), top producing agent by transactions (76); Judymac Team (Quail Hollow, $86,592,687), top producing team by sales volume — members are Judy Mclellan, Mickey Mclellan, Neely Thrasher, Tina Sidebottom and David Rahaim; Tyler Tapley Team (Quail
Hollow), top producing team by transactions (480) — members are Tyler Tapley, Meatha Haynes Tapley, Monica Bynum and William Haynes; Bill Caller (Commercial Division), top producing commercial agent; and Charlette Brown (Hernando), Rookie of the Year.
Tioga Environmental Consultants added Drew Crenshaw to its team. Crenshaw inspects commercial and residential properties for hazardous materials like asbestos and lead-based paint, and regularly uses XRAY Fluorescence Analyzers to identify lead hazards in single-family homes and child-occupied facilities. Crenshaw is also a Tennessee-certified Asbestos Inspector, Lead-based Activities Inspector and Paint Risk Assessor.
Maria Montessori School expanded its toddler program with the addition of Emily Mcfarland and Marilyn Jenkins to its ranks. Mcfarland joins MMS as an assistant teacher in the toddler community. Jenkins now is a toddler
caregiver. She is pursuing her Catechesis of the Good Shepherd for ages under 3 and 3-6.
Diversified Trust wealth management firm announced three new promotions in its Memphis office. Megan Mayhew, with 10 years of experience at Diversified Trust, was promoted from vice president to senior vice president. She is part of the client administration team, where she is responsible for assisting with onboarding as well as the daily needs of clients. Sumner Jefferson was promoted from senior associate to vice president, where she focuses on portfolio management, wealth strategies and client service. Gay Boyd was promoted from associate to senior associate. She serves as the Memphis office manager.
