The first season of this Jane Seymourled mystery series concludes with two episodes available today. In “The Mystery of Granny Susan’s Fun Time Wig,” when the matriarch of a wealthy Dublin family is strangled to death during a video call in front of her horrified relatives, the dead woman’s daughter employs the services of the newly formed Wild/reid Detective Agency. Then, in “No One Here Gets Out Alive,” Harry (Seymour) and Fergus (Rohan Nedd) put themselves in mortal danger to save a recovering addict who has been kidnapped.

The six-episode series from The Wire creator, showrunner and executive producer David Simon is based on Baltimore Sun police reporter Justin Fenton’s book about the rise and fall of the Baltimore Police Department’s Gun Trace Task Force. Expect a multilayer­ed, brutally honest depiction of police corruption. Jon Bernthal, Jamie Hector, Josh Charles, Dagmara Dominczyk, Rob Brown and Wunmi Mosaku star.
