BARTLETT - Leslie Alice Lumpkin Cunningham of Bartlett Tennessee passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born July 20, 1945, in Mt. Pleasant Mississipp­i to the late Joseph Lumpkin and Magnolia Hughes Lumpkin. Following graduation from Mt Pisgah High School in 1965 she went on to get certified in Child Developmen­t. She worked at Happy Times Day Care as a teacher from 1987 to her retirement in 2010.

Ms. Cunningham was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She relished the time she spent with her daughter Allyson and her granddaugh­ter Morgan. As a teenager, she enjoyed going “up town” in Colliervil­le on Saturday mornings. She also enjoyed fishing and singing.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her three sisters, Loresia Lumpkin Fitch, Carrie Minnie Lumpkin, Mary Lumpkin Thomas (Roy, deceased) and one brother James Lumpkin.

She is survived by her daughter Allyson Cunningham Finnie (Kelvin Finnie) and one grandchild that she adored, Morgan Garrett. She is also survived by her four sisters, Mattie Kones (Clyde, deceased), Yvonne Martin (Willie B.) of Colliervil­le, Josephine Wilson (Cordell) and Lovey Lumpkin of Memphis, TN and two brothers, Charles Lumpkin (Virginia) of Colliervil­le, TN and John Lumpkin (Iris) of Dallas, TX.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 1, at 12:00 noon at St. Mark Cemetery at 283 Keough Rd, Colliervil­le, TN 38017 (behind Mt. Olive #2 Baptist Church). She will forever be in our hearts. H.C. Jett-h.c. Ford Funeral Home 203 Washington St. Colliervil­le, TN 38017
