Claude R. Fulp, Jr., age 83, passed away in Cordova, Tennessee on December 23, 2022, after suffering a stroke. He was born in Shreveport, Louisiana in 1939 to Claude R. Fulp, Sr. and Alice Ward Fulp, both of whom are deceased. He leaves behind a devoted wife of 62 years (Helen H. Fulp) and a loving son (Robert W. Fulp) and daughter-in-law (Lynn A. Fulp), and one grandson (Zachary A. Fulp). He graduated from Central High School in Memphis. During his high school years, he became an eagle scout with the Boy Scouts of America. After being honorably discharged from the Air National Guard, he attended Memphis State University for one year. Following his education, he pursued a career in the flooring covering industry that lasted approximat­ely 45 years. The majority of his time (over 30 years) was spent as a travelling salesman representi­ng numerous carpet manufactur­ers and covering a territory ranging from eastern Arkansas, west Tennessee, southwest Kentucky and northern Mississipp­i. He loved the outdoors, spending time hunting, fishing, playing golf or bird watching. He and his wife were avid travelers and visited over 40 countries worldwide. His favorite Florida location was Sanibel Island where he enjoyed bird watching at the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge. Another past-time for him was watching college football and basketball games. He was a huge University of Memphis fan. In memory of Claude R.
