Here’s a look at promotions, hirings, movers and newsmakers in the Memphis area business scene :

Donald S. Grayer, an IT business analyst for IMC Companies with nine years of experience in operations and IT, was elected as president of the board of directors of the Memphis World Trade Club. He is a graduate of IMC Companies Management Training Program.

Celeste Pryor has joined Red Door Wealth Management as a wealth advisor to consult clients on portfolio management, risk management and tolerance, asset management, fixed incomes and capital markets. She has more than 20 years of wealth management experience. In addition to being a Certified Financial Planner, she is a Certified Anti-money Laundering Specialist and carries several licenses through the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority for the states of Tennessee, Texas and Pennsylvan­ia. Pryor received her master’s degree from Christian Brothers University.

Harris Shelton Hanover Walsh has expanded its legal team with four new attorneys: Lauren Meriwether and William L. Brantley as associate attorneys,

and Robert Weiss and Robert Alvarez as of counsel.

h Meriwether graduated from the University of Mississipp­i with her Juris Doctorate and is licensed to practice law in Tennessee and Mississipp­i and specialize­s in real estate, business and corporate legal affairs, commercial finance, and mergers and acquisitio­ns.

h Brantley received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Virginia and previously clerked for the United States District Court for the Middle District of Alabama, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Brantley is licensed to practice law in the state of Tennessee and focuses his practice on municipal law and commercial litigation.

h Weiss brings more than 26 years of experience to the firm. He specialize­s in domestic relations and mediation and has an extensive background in litigation in state and federal courts. Between 2010 and 2022, Weiss served as the trial judge in Division VIII of the Shelby County Circuit Court.

h Alvarez’s legal career spans across four decades, and he brings his expertise to Harris Shelton’s estate planning, business and corporate planning, tax and health law practices areas. He is licensed to practice law in Mississipp­i and Tennessee.

Glankler Brown announced Greer Bryant has joined the firm as an Associate. She concentrat­es her practice in the area of real estate law. Bryant earned her law degree from the University of Arkansas, where she was an Associate Member of the Board of Advocates and Community Service Chair of the Women’s Law Student Associatio­n.

The American College of Surgeons National Quality Improvemen­t Program (ACS NSQIP) has recognized Regional One Health as one of 78 NSQIP participat­ing hospitals for achieving meritoriou­s outcomes for surgical patient care in 2021. Regional One Health achieved the meritoriou­s composite score for both the “All

Cases” and “High Risk” categories. ACS NSQIP participat­ing hospitals track the outcomes of inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures to evaluate patient safety. The real-time data assists hospital systems with improving surgical care for patients.

Paint Memphis has been approved by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) to receive a Challenge America award of $10,000. This grant will support Paint Memphis 2023 in its ninth year of building community and changing the landscape of Memphis through murals. This grant is one of 262 Challenge America awards totaling $2.62 million that were announced by the NEA as part of its first round of fiscal year 2023 grants. Paint Memphis creates Tennessee’s largest collaborat­ive mural project through the talents and participat­ion of more than 100 local, regional and national artists each year.
