Lifesaver Rewards Program set to launch July 1

- From Miller-Keystone Blood Cente

Miller-Keystone Blood Center has announced that beginning July 1 they will be launching the Lifesaver Rewards Program. This program will reward donors by assigning points for each donation, type of donation, and frequency of donation. Point can then be redeemed at the LifeSaver Rewards Store.

“Our Lifesaver Rewards Program is designed as a way to thank our dedicated donors for the unselfish act of saving lives through voluntary blood donation,” says Sean Tinney, Director of Marketing and Business Development.

“Points will begin to accumulate with donations made on or after July 1. The points a donor accumulates will be valid for two years, however points will also expire after one year of no donation activity,” he explains, adding that “bonus” points will also be awarded for donations on holiday weekends, when there is a specific need, or when other milestones are reached.

“Donors will be able to exchange their points for specific items when our LifeSaver Rewards Store opens,” Tinney notes. “The store will be open 4 months throughout the year – in March, June, September and December. Donors will be able to redeem their points for a variety of items, or they will also have the option to donate their points to the Blood Center’s Scholarship Fund.”

Tinney confirms that the store will be open only during March, June, September and December in order to more efficiently manage the fulfillment process. However, points that are valid for two years will not expire until after the next store opening.
