Pottstown native Kyle Klaus to appear on ‘Homeland’

Season 6 premiere to air Jan. 15 on Showtime

Pottstown-area native and Kutztown University alumni Kyle Klaus heads to the TAC Team for the Season 6 premiere of the award-winning Showtime thriller “Homeland,” airing on Sunday, Jan. 15.

The new season of “Homeland” picks up in New York City several months after Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) thwarted a terrorist attack in Berlin. Now living in Brooklyn, Carrie is working at a foundation that provides aid to Muslims living in the U.S. The season will begin immediately following the Presidential election and continues throughout the transfer of power on Inauguration Day. Klaus steps into the storyline during the season opening episode titled “Fair Game,” as part of a TAC Team called into action hunting down hostiles.

Klaus was excited at the opportunity, saying, “I felt extremely honored to be working on such a highly acclaimed series with this talented cast and crew. The writers and creators have done an amazing job with this show throughout the years. And, finally all those years learning the proper use of firearms from my father, growing up in Pennsylvania, have paid off.”

This marks Klaus’s second appearance on a Showtime series. He recently emerged in an episode of the network’s popular series “Billions.” In addition, this rising actor appeared on the big screen in the romantic-comedy indie film, “My Bakery in Brooklyn,” as part of the Marché du Film at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. On the festival circuit, he received considerable attention for his leading role in director Cody Blue Snider’s awardwinning dramatic short, “All That Remains,” about a World War II veteran suffering from dementia.

Originally from the Pottstown area, Klaus first began honing his craft while attending Kutztown University. Today he lives in New York City, where he has been building a solid reputation for his work in the industry.
