Fun in February with a beach party
With no way of predicting a February heat wave, Collegeville’s Holy Cross fifth-grade students celebrated the break from the winter blues with a beach dance party. The event was held in Royerford’s Sacred Heart gym where the children competed in a variety of beach-themed events. There was a limbo contest, musical chairs (played with beach towels), keep it up, pass the hula hoop, and the coveted “best dressed” award. Music, provided by Christopher Smith of Platinum DJ, kept the children dancing in between the games and gave the party that extra touch.
