Paintings by Marilyn J. Fox on display at Clay on Main

Over four new paintings by Marilyn J. Fox of Kutztown will be on exhibit at Clay on Main, 313 Main Street, Oley. Fox has created an entire new body of paintings, ranging in size from 6 inches by 9 inches to 36 inches by 48 inches during a flurry of creativity that began in late 2017. Beginning with the idea of visual language, these brilliantl­y colored new works express joy, introspect­ion, poetry and narrative.

For twenty years, Ms. Fox has been the gallery director at the Freyberger Gallery, Penn State Berks, and previously contribute­d art reviews for the Reading Eagle, and various other periodical­s.

A reception will be held on Sunday, March 25, from 4 to 6 p.m.

Regular hours for Clay on Main are: Tuesdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesdays noon to 8 p.m., Fridays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sundays 1 to 4 p.m. The exhibit runs through April 19, 2018. Fox will be at the gallery on Sundays to greet visitors and discuss her work. (closed for Easter Sunday, April 1).
