Bears girls lacrosse routs Perk Valley

BOYERTOWN 14, PERKIOMEN VALLEY 2 » Amanda Diachynsky netted a hat trick along with four assists, and Kylie Webb contribute­d two goals and three assists toward the Bears’ victory over the Vikings in their PAC Liberty Division game.

Ashley Dierolf and Sydney Fox added two-goal outputs to the Boyertown offense. Kat Kelley had a goal and an assist for Perk Valley, and Riley McGettigan completed the Vikes’ scoring.

The Bears ended the week level with PV and Methacton at 4-3 in the PAC Liberty and 7-3 in the league. METHACTON 12, BOYERTOWN 11» Sydney Tornetta scored her two biggest goals of the day toward the end of Methacton’s game with Boyertown on April 25.

They turned out be quite vital, securing the Warriors a 12-11 comeback victory over the Bears in their Pioneer Athletic Conference Liberty Division girls lacrosse matchup.

Tornetta, who collected five goals, helped Methacton (7-3, 8-7) erase Boyertown’s one-goal lead with 10 minutes to go.

Amanda Diachynsky and Hayden Corcoran each scored three times for the Bears (6-3, 9-4). BOYERTOWN 17, POTTSTOWN 5» Ashley Dierolf scored four goals and the Bears put up 13 first-half goals in a PAC crossover win on April 23. Other multi-point scorers for Boyertown were Sydney Fox (1G, 1A), Erin Gilbert (1G, 2A), Kaleigh Gallagher (1G, 1A), Hannah Mitchell (2G, 2A), Amanda Diachynsky (2G, 1A), Liz Tamasitis (1G, 1A) and Jen O’Connor (2G).

Ebony Reddick scored four goals for Pottstown while goalie Reilly Owens made 12 saves.

Boys lacrosse

BOYERTOWN 12, UPPER MERION4» Brady McFalls’ four goals and an assist led the Bears to a PAC win on Senior Night on April 23.

Christian Hellreigel, Mason Turner, Skylar Wallace, Brewer Johnson and Carson Flint added two goals each for Boyertown. BOYERTOWN 15, PHOENIXVIL­LE 6 » Brady McFalls’ five goals fueled the Bears to a PAC victory over the Phantoms.

Others with multi-point games were Christian Hellreigel (2G, 1A), Nick Moccia (2G), AJ Robinson (2G) and Zach Mayan (1G, 1A) for Boyertown (4-2 PAC, 6-5 overall). For Phoenixvil­le (2-5, 3-7), Danny Jackson had three goals and an assist and Bob Batten scored a pair.

Baseball

BOYERTOWN 11, POTTSGROVE 5» Austyn Levengood was 2-for-2 with two walks and two RBI and Quinn Mason had three hits and an RBI as the Bears took down the Falcons in PAC play on April 23.

Pottsgrove, which got two of its four hits from Zane Alderfer, got within 6-5 after a four-run fourth inning but the Bears tacked on four in the top of the fifth. Evan Crowe and Gavin Richards combined for 3 2/3 innings no-hit relief in support of starter Drew Hartman for Boyertown. BOYERTOWN 10, POTTSTOWN 2» Colin Maloney came off the bench and finished 2-for-2 with two RBI and a run scored in the Bears’ PAC cross-divisional win against the Trojans on April 26.

Evan Crowe picked up the pitching win with four full innings where he was tagged for two runs (one earned) on two hits and a walk. He struck out three before handing it over to Jake DiCesare and Nolan Kline in relief. Timmy Dobbs was strong in relief for Pottstown.

Softball

BOYERTOWN 18, POTTSTOWN 1» MacKenzie Shaner was 4-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI as the Bears blasted the Trojans in five innings on April 23.

Logan Black was 3-for-3 with a triple and two RBI, winning pitcher Lauren Ferguson was 3-for-3 with two RBI and Naiya Murrey, April Hurlock and Rachel Hartman each had two-hit games for Boyertown. PERKIOMEN VALLEY 3, BOYERTOWN 0 » Jordan Sell hit a home run and Ashley Bangert had a double for the Vikings, supporting Jess Oltman’s one-hit pitching in their PAC Liberty Division victory over the Bears on April 24.
