The Talisman Players present ‘Honk!’

- From The Talisman Players

The Talisman Players are back with their “end of the summer musical” and if you missed “Fiddler on the Roof” in 2016, or “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” in 2017; well you’re in time to see ‘HONK!”

This is the wonderfully entertaining, fun for the entire family, musical story of the ugly duckling.

The director, Christine Nardone Storch, has once again selected a spectacular cast with Kutztown’s Crede Cooper in the title role. Playing his mother Ida will be Shanna Gates, a newcomer to the Talisman Players but not to many community theatre audiences. Gates is a graduate of the renowned Wagner College of Staten Island and her performance alone is worth the ticket price. Brock Rabenold, the lead from ”How to Succeed” is back as the hysterically funny Drake (Ugly’s Dad) with Matt Lupacckino as the dreaded villainous “Cat” and so many more surprises.

In four short years the Talisman Players have indeed put their stamp on the Kutztown community and with the support of Kutztown University, now their home and partner, is rapidly becoming the “talk” of informed theatre goers.

“HONK!” opens Friday, Sept. 7 at 7 p.m., in Schaeffer Auditorium; continues on Saturday, Sept. 8 at 7 p.m. and on Sunday, Sept. 9 at 1 p.m.
