POTTSTOWN » It was a day par­ents and teach­ers were both wait­ing for, and one stu­dents eyed with a mix­ture of an­tic­i­pa­tion and res­ig­na­tion — the first day back at school.

For some it rep­re­sents a fresh start or a chance to re­con­nect with friends.

For oth­ers, it may be their fi­nal year be­fore grad­u­a­tion or their very first day in class.

While mean­ings may vary, de­pend­ing on per­spec­tive, one thing is sure — the first day of school is an Amer­i­can rite of pas­sage.
