National Theatre Live at Fox Berkshire announces 2018-19 season
Wyomissing, Pa.-based Fox Theatres announces the 201819 season of National Theatre Live, with seven outstanding British plays filmed in front of a live audience and presented on the big screen at Fox Berkshire, 800 Berkshire Blvd., Wyomissing.
“The National Theatre is one of the best theatre companies in the world, and we are delighted to show their finest plays straight from London, recorded for film, so our patrons have the best seat in the house,” said Don Fox, President of Fox Theatres.
From classic Shakespeare plays like King Lear and MacBeth to fresh interpretations of time-honored plays like Frankenstein and Julie, the National Theatre Live season includes Olivier and Tony award winning productions starring such wellknown actors as Benedict Cumberbatch, Ralph Fiennes, and Sir Ian McKellen.

• “Curious Incident of the Dog In The Night-Time” — Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018, 6 pm. Winner of the Tony Award for Best Play and 7 Olivier Awards, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time tells the story of an autistic boy who embarks on a frightening adventure that upturns his world.
• “Frankenstein” (with Benedict Cumberbatch as Creature) — Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018, 6 p.m. Childlike in his innocence but grotesque in form, Frankenstein’s bewildered creature is cast out into a hostile universe by his horror-struck maker. Scientific responsibility, parental neglect, cognitive development and the nature of good and evil, are embedded within this thrilling and deeply disturbing classic tale.
• “Macbeth” — Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018, 6 .m. Ruthlessly fighting to survive, the Macbeths are propelled towards THEATRE » PAGE 2
