Dealership to open service center in NB
NEW BREMEN — A local car dealership will soon be opening a service center at the Bunker Hill Industrial Complex in New Bremen.
Platinum Auto Group will be building a service center on 7.7 acres at Bunker Hill to go along with its current dealership, Mayor Bob Parker announced Monday night during the village council meeting.
The service center is estimated to create five to eight jobs in the village.
Council completed a second reading on the ordinance to transfer the land over to the dealership.
The price is $15,000 per acre.
A third and final reading will be completed at council’s next meeting.
Also Monday, Village Administrator Brent Richter said that work ongoing at the intersection of state Route 66 and state Route 274, in front of Schwieterman’s Pharmacy, is warranty work to repair cracks in the concrete.
Construction was done most recently when work was done on the turning lanes and the stoplights.
“At the one-year inspection, it was determined that it’s cracked so we are going to have those panels replaced,” said Richter.
