Kenneth H. Geise, 83

Kenneth Henry Geise, 83, of South Garfield Street, Minster, passed away of natural causes at his residence late Wednesday morning, Dec. 8, 2021. He was born Sept. 18, 1938, in Anna, to the late Anthony and Elizabeth (Siegel) Geise. On Aug. 19, 1978, Ken married Karen (Dilsaver) Geise who survives.

Also surviving are four children: Carrie and Allen Bockrath of St. Partick, Shannon and Tim Barhorst of Sidney, William Traux of Union City and Lodean and Robert Littleton of Yorkshire; 16 grandchild­ren and 19 great-grandchild­ren; one brother, Anthony “June” and Ann Geise of Fort Loramie as well as sisters and brothers-in-law: Irene Geise of Somerville, Charlotte Geise of Union, Wayne and Gloria Dilsaver of St. Marys, Darrel and Becky Dilsaver of St. Marys and Lisa and Jennifer Hicks of Wyoming along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Barbara Jean Geise; seven siblings: Ray and Dorothy Geise, Ed and Mildred Geise, Victor Geise, Leonard and Martha Geise, Donnie and Margaret Geise, Mary and Carl Seger and Fred Geise as well as sisters and brothersin-law, Norma Geise and Steven Dilsaver.

Mr. Geise was engaged in farming all of his working life. He also retired from the Stolle Corporatio­n in Sidney, and for several years, had been a ready-mix delivery driver for Spring Creek Corporatio­n in New Bremen. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. In his leisure, Ken “Goose” enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, coon hunting, spirited cornhole games and westerns. He especially enjoyed visiting with his family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 15, at St. Michael Church in Fort Loramie with Rev. Steven Shoup presiding. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie. Memorials may be made to the Minster Area Life Squad or Rustic Hope.
