Cardinals, Flyers compete at ML meet

MARIA STEIN — On Thursday, New Bremen and host Marion Local were two of the teams that took part in the Flyer Spectacula­r at Marion Local High School.

NEW BREMEN GIRLS

In the individual events, Chloe Homan was fourth in the 1600m run with a time of 5:46.10.

Lily Rindler placed fourth in the 300m hurdles (56.70).

In the long jump relay, Riana Paul was fourth (15-5 1/2); Megan Reinhart fifth (152 1/2) and Rindler was 12th (14-2).

The shot put relay finishers were Chloe Bornhorst (7th, 30-4 1/2); Elizabeth Garman (10th, 28-11 1/2); Emma Wittenbrin­k (17th (26-9 1/2); and Madelyn Homan (22nd, 22-10 1/2).

Results in the discus relay were Bornhorst (17th, 72-3); Garman (18th, 71-4); Aliyah Parlett (24th, 52-3); and Wittenbrin­k (26th, 47-2).

In the 4x100m relay, Brooklyn Kremer, Paul, Reinhart and Allyson Pape finished fourth (55.29).

The team of Chloe Bornhorst, Elizabeth Garman, Wittenbrin­k and Aliyah Parlett was sixth in the 4x103m ironman relay.

The 4x200 team of Lily Lennartz, Reinhart, Paul and Pape finished sixth (2:04.31).

Caroline Whitlach, Pape, Chloe Homan and Mia Hirschfled combined for a secondplac­e finish in the 4x400 (4:23.81).

Hirschfeld, Whitlach, Shalyee Boyle and Homan took second in the 4x800 (10:44.26).

Kremer, Reinhart, Paul and Pape ran the 800 sprint medley in 2:06.58 for fourth place.

Competing in the 1600 sprint medley were Charlie Jellison, Emily Eyink, Mara Brackman and Lennzartz. They finished sixth (5:14.44).

In a 3200m distance medley (800/400/400/1600) event, Lennartz, Brackman, Emma Eshleman and Whitlach finished fourth (11:26.30).

Another distance medley team (4000m total), Eshleman, Jellison, Eyink and Boyle finished fourth (16:11.11).

The 4x100m shuttle hurdle team of Rindler, Jellison, Hirschfeld, and Eyink was fourth (1:18.42).

BOYS

Patrick Bernhold was second in the 1600m run (4:44.31); Brett Schaefer was sixth in the 100m dash (12.31) and WIll Hemmelgarn was seventh in 300m hurdles (53.06).

Taking first place in the 4x103 ironman relay were Mason Kuck, Caden Puthoff, Noah Kelly and Grant Wilker with a time of 49.06 seconds.

Another victory came in the 4x800 with

Braeden Suchland, Bernhold, Zach Wiedeman and Zach Ashman running in 8:54.23.

In field events, Alex Homan and Aaron Poeppelman tied for eighth in the high jump (5-0).

In the long jump, Tangeman was ninth (17-4 1/2); Bambauer 11th (1610); Velasco 13th (16-2 1/2) and Blake Suchland 14th (15-10).

Puthoff tied for seventh (39-6) and Ransbottom was ninth (38-11 1/2) in shot put, with Vince Wilker 17th (35-9 1/2) and Kuck 21st (34-4).

Kuck placed fourth in the discus (127-9), with Wilker 13th (104-6); Maverick Nelson 18th (94-11) and Jonathan Rodriquez 19th (93-5).

The 4x100m team of Suchland, Brett Schaefer, Hunter Schaefer and Haden Zeller was fourth (47.69).

The combo of Carlos Velsaco, Kai Easthan, Dylan Kremer and Troy Homan was third in the 4x200 (1:41.35).

In the 4x400, Dylan Bambauer, Bernhold, Suchland and Ashman finished fourth (3:46.06).

The 804 sprint medley team of Tanner This, Logan Krieg, Jackson Suchland and Tanner Suchland was sixth (2:00.01).

Placing fifth in the 1600 sprint medley were Cale Tangeman, Trevor Schaefer, Blake Suchland and Bambauer (4:16.29).

The 3200m distance medley entry of Dominic Shroyer, Keegan Wells, Andy Jiang and Jonathan Zimpfer was seventh (10:29.72).

In the 4000m distance medley, Gavin Spragg, Jiang, Shroyer and Sam Bernhold were fifth (13:05.47).

Earning sixth in the 4x110 shuttle hurdle was the team of Gavin Skinner, Tyler Krieg, Noah Kelly and Hemmelgarn (1:22.26).

The 800 sprint medley team of Hunter Schaefer, Zeller, Brett Schaefer and Trevor Schaefer was fifth (1:50.91).

MARION LOCAL BOYS

Peyton Otte took third in the 100 meter dash (11.77).

Noah Budde won the 1600 meter run with a time of 4:41.

Owen Rindler placed second in the 300 meter hurdles (40.71).

The relay team of Nate Buscher, Kyle Otte, Peyton Moeller and Peyton Otte won the 4x100 meter relay (45.00).

The relay team of Buscher, Moeller, Otte and Tate Hess won the 4x200 meter relay (1:34.62).

The relay team of Hess, Wesley Schoen, Victor Helshcher and Rindler won the 4x400 meter relay (3:36.94).

The relay team of Aaron Broering, Schoen, Trevor Muhlenkamp and Preston Kemper placed third in the 4x800 meter relay (9:21.61).

The team of Brayden Pavelka, Justin Knouff, Victor Hoelscher and Aiden Grieshop won the sprint medley 1-1-2-4 with a time of 1:44.05.

Owen Moeller, Knouff, Landon Arling and Andrew Pohlman won the 2-2-4-8 sprint medley with a time of 4:00.22.

The 8-4-4-16 distance medley team placed second and the 12-4-8-16 team won with a time of 11:42.91.

The 4x100 meter shuttle hurdle team of Rindler, Adam Winner, Ben Ranly and Arling won with a time of 1:10.32.

The team of Tate and Trevor Hess, Luke Pohlman and Wesley Schoen placed second in the high jump relay.

Buscher, Carter Jones, Derek Otte and Devin Francis competed in the pole vault relay with Buscher, Jones and Francis scoring 3.3 points each for the team.

The long jump relay team of Dan Bruns, Ben Seitz, Toby Kremer and Brandt Homan won the relay with Bruns jumping 19 feet and 8 inches to take second overall.

The team of Jones, Kremer and Partington took second in the triple jump relay.

The team of Jack Knapke, Adam Chrisman, Kyle Ungruhn and Kevin Partington placed second in the shot put relay.

The team of Knapke, Chrisman, Jacob Smith and Partington won the discus throw relay.

The 800 spring medley was won by Owen and Peyton Moeller and Kyle Otte and Aiden Grieshop (1:42.37).

GIRLS

Lynn Schwieterm­an placed second in the 100 meter dash (13.49).

Sam Hoelscher won the 300 meter hurdles (46.79).

The 4x100 team of Lynn Schwieterm­an, Natalie Pohl, Julia Moeller and Hoelscher placed second (52.34).

Georgia Fleck, Amber Wendel, Lauren Meiring and Ellie Knapke placed fourth in the 4x103 meter relay.

The 4x200 meter team of Pohl, Olivia Winner, Tori Homan and Ava Ranly placed second (1:58.63).

The 4x4 team of Schwieterm­an, Hoelscher, Moeller and Kaylee Wilker placed third (4:25.01).

The 804 sprint medley team of Ashlynnn Moeller, Ava Werling, Wilker and Winner was third (2:12.23).

The 1600 sprint medley team of Wilker, Winner, Tangeman and Homan was fourth (5:02.41).

The girls distance medley team of Ellie Heitkamp, Kelsey Bergman, Schwieterm­an and Josie Bruns was third (16:10.17).

The 4x100 meter shuttle team of Hoelscher, Werling, Winner and Winner won with a time of 1:11.23.

The high jump relay team of Hannah Tangeman, Ranly and Eve Mesher won with jumps of 4-8 each.

The pole vault relay team of Lizzy Homan, Winner and Kaydence Wilkins placed second.

The girls long jump relay team of Moeller, Homan, Ranly and Wilker placed third.

The triple jump relay team of Tangeman, Homan and Werling placed second.

The shot put relay of Winner, Wendel, Lauren Kuck and Georgia Fleck won the event.

Fleck, Winner, Wendel and Kuck placed third in the discus throw relay.

The team of Homan, Pohl, Moeller and Schwieterm­an placed second in the 800 sprint medley (2:01.49).
