FL boys, Minster girls earn regional titles

TROY — The Minster girls and the Fort Loramie boys took home firstplace hardware on Friday night at the Div. III regional meet held at Troy.

The Minster girls won with a score of 62 points. Coldwater was second with 50.5 points and the Flyers finished third with a total of 50 points. Fort Loramie finished sixth with 42 points. New Bremen finished 25th with seven points.

The Fort Loramie boys took first with 66.5 points and Minster was second with 54 points. Anna finished third with 48 points. Marion Local was fifth with 34 points. New Bremen finished in 27th place with nine points.

The top four finishers in all contests will compete later this week at the state meet held at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus.

NEW BREMEN Boys

The 4x800 team of Braden Suchland, Sam Bernhold, Zach Wiedeman and Patrick Bernhold placed 7th with a time of 8:24.24.

The 4x400 team of Suchland, Dylan Bambauer, Hayden Zeller and P. Bernhold placed fifth with a time of 3:32.70.

Patrick Bernhold finished sixth with a time of 2:01.25 in the 800 meter run.

Girls

The 4x800 team of Caroline Whitlatch, Mia Hirschfeld, Molly Dues and Chloe Homan placed fifth with a time of 10:05.60.

Hirschfeld finished 14th in the 400 meter dash (64.88).

Homan placed sixth in the 3,200-meter run (11:51.95). Dues was 13th (12:29.13).

MARION LOCAL Boys

The 4x800 team of Aaron Broering, Troy Stucke, Andrew Pohlman and Noah Budde finished sixth with a time of 8:19.86.

The 4x100 team placed fourth with a time of 43.73 seconds.

The 4x200 team of Nate Buscher, Tate Hess, Peyton Moeller and Peyton Otte was seventh (1:31.91).

The 4x400 team of Aiden Grieshop, Victor Hoelscher, Hess and Wesley Schoen was sixth (3:33.60).

Nate Buscher was third in the pole vault (14 feet, 4 inches). Carter Jones finished sixth, going 12 feet, 6 inches.

Jack Knapke won the discus with a toss of 158 feet, 10 inches.

Peyton Moeller finished 10th in the 200 meter dash (23.61).

Hess placed seventh in the high jump (5 feet, 10 inches).

Girls

Molly Winner won the shot put with a throw of 41 feet, 6.5 inches. Amber Wendel finished in 12th place (32 feet, 4.25 inches). Winner was seventh in the discus (117 feet, 1 inch).

Sam Hoelscher finished third in the 100 meter hurdles (15.31). Hoelscher won the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 45.27 seconds.

The 4x100 team placed second with a time of 50.59 seconds.

The 4x200 team of Lynn Schwieterm­an, Natalie Pohl, Maddie Keller and Hoelscher placed third with a time of 1:46.10.

The 4x400 team of Hoelscher, Schwieterm­an, Keller and Jayden Huelsman finished third with a time of 4:05.90.

Lizzy Homan finished in seventh place in the pole vault (9 feet, 6 inches).

MINSTER Boys

The 4x800 team of Alex Westerheid­e, Jack Grieshop, Ryan Halpin and Alex Albers was second with a time of 8:16.94.

Russell Heid took home fourth in the pole vault with a vault of 13 feet. Lucas Stammen was ninth with a vault of 11 feet.

Charlie Schmiesing placed sixth in the discus (138 feet, 9 inches).

Jack Kohne finished third in the 200 meter dash (23.08).

Albers took third in the 800 meter run (2:00.25). Albers was fifth in the 1,600 meter run (4:26.13).

Joseph Slonkosky took third in the 110s (15.65). He was second in the 300 meter hurdles (40.91).

The 4x200 team of Nathan Webb, Guy Weigandt, Slonkosky and Kohne was sixth (1:31.88).

The 4x400 team of Kohne, Weigandt, Slonkosky and Westerheid­e was fourth (3:30.88).

Girls

The 4x800 team of Margaret Hemmelgarn, Cameo Cedarleaf, Chaney Cedarleaf and Taylor Roth won the event with a time of 9:39.50.

Kayla Lamm placed sixth in the high jump (5 feet, 2 inches).

Lillian Barhorst placed third in the shot put (39 feet, 4 inches).

Cameo finished sixth in the 400 meter dash (59.91).

Taylor Roth won the 800 meter

run with a time of 2:16.13. Hemmelgarn was eighth (2:23.51).

Hemmelgarn placed third in the 1,600 meter run (5:09.57). Chaney was fifth with a time of 5:20.36.

Chaney placed eighth in the 3,200 meter run (12:10.03).

The 4x200 team of Ava Grieshop, Kylie Williams, Roth and Cameo Cedarleaf were fourth with a time of 1:46.24.

The 4x400 team of Cedarleaf, Barhorst, Keri Heckman and Roth placed second (4:05.74).

Josi Boate placed fourth in the pole vault (9 feet, 6 inches).

Barhorst finished 10th in the discus (103 feet).

FORT LORAMIE Boys

The 4x800 team of Colin Gasson, Frank Rethman, Trey Ranly and Colten Gasson won the event with a time of 8:11.95.

Gavin Kemper won the pole vault with a vault of 15 feet, 9 inches. Luke Holthaus finished seventh (12 feet, 6 inches).

Rethman placed second in the 400 meter dash (49.96).

Colin Gasson finished second in the 800 meter run (1:58.34). Ranly was eighth (2:01.88).

Colten Gasson placed second in the 1,600 meter run (4:21.44).

Kemper finished fifth in the 110s with a time of 16.03.

The 4x400 team of Gasson, Ranly, Gasson and Rethman won the event with a time of 3:26.20.

Ryan Hoelscher was third in the high jump (6 feet).

Girls

The 4x800 team of Mylee Shatto, Lauren Moore, Colleen Borchers and Claire Rethman finished second (9:45.10).

Riley Heitkamp was second in the pole vault (10 feet, 4 inches) and was fourth in the high jump (5 feet, 2 inches).

Julian Gaier was 14th in the shot put (31 feet, 8.25 inches).

Ella Boerger and Harley Eilerman finished 12th and 13th with respective times of 64.74 and 64.79.

Rethman was third in the 800 meter run (2:17.19). Shatto was ninth (2:24.80).

Rethman won the 1,600 meter run with a time of 5:07.83.

Moore was fifth in the 3,200 meter run (11:46.08) and Borchers was ninth (12:14.28).

Ariel Heitkamp was 11th in the 300 meter hurdles (49.88).

The 4x100 team of Alyson Schmitmeye­r, Sunni Voisard, Viola Bornhorst and Heitkamp was 11th.

The 4x400 team of Eilerman, Heitkamp, Boerger and Rethman was ninth (4:18.28).
