SHEPHERDSV­ILLE - William Larry McNeese, 80 years old and resident of Shepherdsv­ille, KY, passed at home on July 23rd, 2021. He was born August 22nd, 1940 in Ashford, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Owie and Lester McNeese and his sisters, Nell Lynn Withers and Mellie McNeese (his baby sister).

Larry was married December 17th, 1959 to Lola Annette Bratten of Poplar Branch, NC. He served six years in the US Coast Guard. He retired as a conductor from the L&N / CSX Railroad. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Shepherdsv­ille. Larry was also an avid golfer and member of Cedar-Fil Golf Course, where he enjoyed many great friendship­s. He was a true patriot who loved God, family, and country.

Larry is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lola McNeese and his daughters Cathy McNeese (Eric White), Laura Hamrick (Darrell Hamrick), Julie McNeese (Gary Hart), and Cindy McNeese (John Oskin). He is also survived by his grandchild­ren, who were his greatest joy and are his greatest legacy: Brett Hart, Troy Hart, Lexie Hamrick, Brock Taylor, Allie Hamrick, and Samantha Watkins.

Services will be held Saturday August 7th at Immanuel Baptist Church (1810 W. Blue Lick Rd, Shepherdsv­ille, KY). Visitation will be from 11am to 1pm ET with the memorial service immediatel­y after at 1pm. Donations to the church in memory of Larry are welcome. The church does much for the community and service in Christ’s name is of utmost importance to Larry and Lola. The graveside service at Kentucky Veteran’s Cemetery Central will be private for the family.
