How to win tickets to the 150th Kentucky Derby
The 150th Kentucky Derby, presented by Woodford Reserve, is Saturday. May 4, 2024, and as the countdown officially gets underway, the entire city of Louisville is invited along for the ride.
And this year, you have a chance to win tickets to the legendary race.
On Dec. 6, Churchill Downs launches its 150 Days to the 150 Kentucky Derby celebration by opening its #MyDerbyMemory contest.
You can share your best Derby memory to enter a chance to win a trip to the historic running of the Kentucky Derby on May 4, 2024. Beginning Wednesday through Jan. 31, 2024, fans can go on X (formerly Twitter,) Instagram, or kentuckyderby.com and share stories, videos, and photos to enter to win a trip to the 150th Kentucky Derby. The top four entries will be announced in February and the community will vote for the winner.
“The iconic moments, traditions and shared memories of the Kentucky Derby belong to everyone in the community,” Casey Ramaged, vice president of Marketing, Brand and Partnerships at Churchill Downs told the Courier Journal. “It’s important to Churchill Downs that we empower the community to participate, not only in the 150th Kentucky Derby but in the countdown to this momentous Kentucky Derby.”
Churchill Downs Racetrack, the legendary home of the Kentucky Derby, has been preparing for the 150th running for more than two years. Race fans lucky enough to snag a ticket to the historic 150th running of the Kentucky Derby will experience a new Paddock area and more premium seating and guest experiences.
Also on Wednesday, the collectible Kentucky Derby 150 glassware will be unveiled. The glassware will be available for sale online and at the Kentucky Derby Museum, Taste of Kentucky, and Amazon. Kentucky Derby 150 merchandise such as ball caps, t-shirts and art will also be available including cool new merchandise printed with retro Derby logos.
“We’re also announcing Wednesday that for the first time, we have an onsite exclusive frosted glass for Derby 150,” Ramage said. “It will only be available on Derby Day at Churchill Downs.”
