District Judge presides over multiple cases

The following recently had cases before District Judge Mark Jacob of St. Marys:

•David Edward Olewinski, 54, of St. Marys, was waived for court on felony charges of two counts of manufactur­ing, delivery or possession with intent to manufactur­e or deliver, weapons of mass destructio­n-unlawful possession, dealing in proceeds from unlawful activities with intent to promote, possession of firearm prohibited, criminal use of a communicat­ion facility and misdemeano­r charges of two counts of intent to possess a controlled substance by a person not regulated, use/possession of drug parapherna­lia and make repairs/sell/offensive weapon. Bail was set at $150,000 monetary, straight cash. Olewinski was remanded to the Elk County Prison as he was unable to post bail.

•Tiffany Jane Thomas, 42, of St. Marys, was waived for court on felony charges of three counts of access device issued to another who did not authorize its use, two counts of financial exploitati­on of older adult or care dependent person, identity theft, two counts of forgery-unauthoriz­ed act in writing and a misdemeano­r charge of theft by deception-false impression. Bail was set at $15,000 monetary, straight cash. Thomas was remanded to the Elk County Prison as she was unable to post bail.

•James L. Holding, 37, of Johnsonbur­g, was held for court on felony charges of two counts of theft by unlawful taking-movable property. Bail was set at $40,000 monetary, straight cash. Holding was remanded to the Elk County Prison as he was unable to post bail.

•Jared Cody Herbstritt, 30, of St. Marys, was waived for court on a felony charge of fleeing or attempting to elude officer; two misdemeano­r charges of default in required appearance; and summary offenses of reckless driving, driving at a safe speed, use of improper class of license and period for required lighted lamps. Bail was set at $10,000, non-monetary, unsecured.

•Hunter Joseph Meyer, 24, of St. Marys, was waived for court on a misdemeano­r charge of accident involving damage to attended vehicle/property and summary offenses of failure to stop and give informatio­n, render aid and operating a vehicle without required financial responsibi­lity. Bail was set at $5,000, nonmonetar­y, unsecured.

•Joseph R. Blessel, 47, of St. Marys, was waived for court on misdemeano­r charges of two counts of taking/killing big gamebeyond daily/season limits and summary offenses of taking possession of game or wildlife, hunting without securing a license, false or fraud statement on reports, use of artificial/natural bait, lend license/kill tag, possess report card license tag of another. Bail was set at $2,500, non-monetary, unsecured.

•Tyler Kevin Hengst, 30, of St. Marys, was waived for court on a misdemeano­r charge of simple assault and summary offenses of harassment-subject other to physical contact and criminal mischief-damage to property. Bail was set at $5,000, non-monetary, unsecured.

•Timothy James Jordan, 26, of St. Marys, was waived for court on misdemeano­r charges of theft by unlawful taking-moveable property and receiving stolen property. Bail was set at $5,000, non-monetary, unsecured.

•Cody Allen McLaughin, 37, of St. Marys, was waived for court on a misdemeano­r charge of defiant trespassin­g-actual communicat­ion. Bail was set at $2,500, nonmonetar­y, unsecured. In a separate incident, McLaughin was was waived for court on misdemeano­r charges of two counts of intent to possess a controlled substance by a person not regulated and two counts of use/possession of drug parapherna­lia. Bail was set at $2,500, non-monetary, unsecured.

•Danielle Marie Dinsmore, 34, of Kersey, was waived for court on a felony charge of endangerin­g the welfare of a child-parent/guardian committing offense and three misdemeano­r charges of endangerin­g the welfare of a childparen­t/guardian committing offense. Bail was set at $5,000, nonmonetar­y, unsecured.

•Robert B. Fenton, 54, of St. Marys, was waived for court on a misdemeano­r charge of accident involving damage to attended vehicle/property and summary offenses of careless driving and failure to report accident to police. Bail was set at $5,000, non-monetary, unsecured.

•James Robert Peterson, 25, of Kersey, was waived for court on a felony charge of retail theft-taking merchandis­e. Bail was set at $7,000 monetary, straight cash then changed to $7,000 nonmonetar­y, unsecured. Peterson was remanded to the Elk County Prison as he was unable to post bail. He was later released on bail.

•Ian C. Sobrino Rodriguez, 21, of St. Marys, was waived for court on a misdemeano­r charges of terroristi­c threats-with intent to terrorize another and simple assault and a summary offense of harassment-subjecting others to physical contact. Bail was set at $5,000 non-monetary, unsecured.

•Jennifer A. Hepler, 46, of Johnsonbur­g, was waived for court on a misdemeano­r charge of retail theft-under ringing. Bail was set at $5,000, non-monetary, unsecured.

DUI

•Timothy Rób Pavlikowsk­i, 34, of Kane, was waived for court on misdemeano­r charges of DUI general impairment-first offense and DUI with the highest rate of BAC 0.16+ along with summary offenses of no headlights, failure to use safety belt and careless driving. Bail was set at $3,500, non-monetary, unsecured.

•Tammy Arlene Waite, 49, of Glen Campbell, was waived for court on a misdemeano­r charge of DUI controlled substancei­mpaired ability and DUI general impairment-first offense along with summary offenses of careless driving, improper stop, violate hazard regulation, failure to comply license restrictio­n, identifica­tion card, disregard for a traffic lane, turning movements and required signals. Bail was set at $3,500, non-monetary, unsecured.

•Jarid David Bujak Decarli, 29, of St. Marys, was waived for court on a misdemeano­r charge of DUI general impairment-first offense and summary offenses of period for required lighted lamps, failure to notify change in address and notice of change of name of address. A misdemeano­r charge of DUI with the highest rate of BAC .16+ was withdrawn. Bail was set at $3,500, non-monetary, unsecured.

•Donald Dicostanzo, 60, of Johnsonbur­g, was waived for court on a misdemeano­r charge of DUI general impairment-first offense and a summary offense of careless driving. A misdemeano­r charge of DUI with a high rate of BAC .10-.16 was withdrawn. Bail was set at $3,500, non-monetary, unsecured.

•Raymond Michael Ganczak, 50, of St. Marys, was waived for court on a misdemeano­r charge of DUI general impairment-first offense and a summary offense of carless driving. A misdemeano­r charge of DUI with the highest rate of BAC .16+ was withdrawn. Bail was set at $2,500, non-monetary, unsecured.

Drug possession

•Jessica Marie Leinemann, 34, of Reynoldsvi­lle, was waived for court on felony charges of two counts of manufactur­ing, delivery or possession with intent to manufactur­e or deliver, criminal use of a communicat­ion facility and misdemeano­r charges of false identifica­tion to law enforcemen­t officer, intent to possess a controlled substance by a person not regulated and use/possession of drug parapherna­lia. Bail was set at $50,000 monetary, straight cash. Leinemann was remanded to the Elk County Prison as he was unable to post bail.

•Willie C. Moore, 42, of Johnsonbur­g, was waived for court on felony charges of manufactur­ing, delivery or possession with intent to manufactur­e or deliver and conspiracy to manufactur­e, deliver or possess with intent to manufactur­e or deliver and criminal use of a communicat­ion facility along with misdemeano­r charges of intent to possess a controlled substance by a person not regulated and use/ possession of drug parapherna­lia. Bail was set at $100,000 monetary, straight cash. Moore was remanded to the Elk County Prison as he was unable to post bail.

•Amber Renee Sherry, 23, of Emporium, was waived for court on a misdemeano­r charges of intent to possess a controlled substance by a person not regulated and three counts of use/possession of drug parapherna­lia. Bail was set at $5,000, non-monetary, unsecured.

•Paul Stephen Iorfido, 41, of Ridgway, was sent to Common Pleas Court on felony charges of manufactur­ing, delivery or possession with intent to manufactur­e or deliver and criminal use of a communicat­ion facility and a misdemeano­r charge of intent to possess a controlled substance by a person not regulated. Bail was set at $10,000 monetary, straight cash then changed to $10,000 non-monetary, unsecured. Iorfido was remanded to the Elk County Prison as he was unable to post bail. He was later released on bail.

•Lance Robert Meredith, 32, of St. Marys, was waived for court on a misdemeano­r charges of intent to possess a controlled substance by a person not regulated and use/ possession of drug parapherna­lia. Bail was set at $5,000 monetary, straight cash. Meredith was remanded to the Elk County Prison as he was unable to post bail. He was later released on bail.

•Jerri Joseph Newell, 29, of St. Marys, was waived for court on felony charges of DUI controlled substanceS­chedule 1, DUI with a high rate of BAC 0.100.16, DUI general impairment-first offense; misdemeano­r charges of marijuana-small amount for personal use and use/possession of drug parapherna­lia; and summary offenses of drivers license suspended or revoked, careless driving, driving at a safe speed and operation on streets and highways. Bail was set at $5,000 nonmonetar­y, unsecured.

•Isaac Sean Copella, 18, of Wilcox, was waived for court on a felony charge of fleeing or attempting to elude an officer and misdemeano­r charges of DUI controlled substance-Schedule 1, DUI by a minor-first offense, marijuana-small amount for personal use, use/possession of drug parapherna­lia and summary offenses of exceeding maximum speed limit establishe­d by 69 mph, following too closely, careless driving and purchasing alcoholic beverages by a minor. Bail was set at $10,000 non-monetary, unsecured.
