Mountain Fest 2023 just a month away

- By Brian D. Stockman Staff Writer

RIDGWAY - It was just a few years ago when T.O. Fitch and a group of dedicated volunteers seemed to pull off the impossible; a winter festival for Ridgway that was brought together in just a few short months. Despite some inclement weather, the first Mountain Fest was an unqualified success and now has become one of the biggest events that grace Ridgway each year. Despite T.O. Fitch's untimely early passage a group of dedicated volunteers has ensured that his legacy lives on with this annual celebration of all the things that T.O. loved; live music, great food, outdoor sports and equipment, and of course plenty of locally produced beer and spirits.

Mountain Fest 2023 will take place from March 3-March 5 at the new location of the old tannery at 310 Tanner Street in Ridgway. Hours this year will be from 11 a.m.- 11 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m.-11 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. on Sunday. This is a family-friendly event with activities and vendors for all ages. Continuous Live Music, Food, Beverages, and other entertainment will be available throughout the event. The one-time Entry Fee is good for the entire weekend With over 100 vendors confirmed the

large part of Mountain Fest and some of Ridgway's favorites will be there like Anytime/ Lunchtime and the Creative Cup, while others will be tempting visitors with new food offerings like brisket and freshly fried minidoughnuts. One of the most popular vendors is always the Peters Peppers PA pickles, and St. Mary's Dream Catch will bring seafood to the festival for the first time. Real Nutz Vodka and Logyard Brewing are back again this year along with other adult beverage vendors from all over the area with local wineries being featured throughout the event.

In addition to all the food and drinks vendors will be selling games, handmade soap, and candles, laser engraved products, wreaths, rustic and handmade furniture, wind chimes and spinners, educational children's toys, and Festival Favorite PA Hickory Syrup will also be on hand for the 2023 Festival.

This year's Mountain Fest will be the biggest one yet so make sure to mark your calendar and set aside some time to come to downtown Ridgway and enjoy plenty of food, and entertainment and browse over 100 vendors at the biggest event of the year besides the Ridgway Firemen's Carnival. Hours this year will be from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m.-11 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Sunday.
