Gradizzi announces re-election as Fox Twp. Supervisor

-

Randy Gradizzi would like to announce that he is seeking re-election for the position of Fox Township Supervisor. Gradizzi has been serving the residents of Fox Township for the past 23 years as a supervisor and on the road crew for 17 years serving as the roadmaster. This position requires him to be responsible for the maintenance of township roads first and foremost, but it also comes with many other responsibilities. One of them is the repairs and maintenance of water lines and tanks that are part of Toby Water. Another is the maintenance and expansion of the parks and community building. Each year we take on a few projects in addition to the regular maintenance to improve our township. Gradizzi has been working with the Elk County Conservation District to replace the township's stream crossings in order to maximize flow and minimize flooding and erosion. Thanks to their Dirt and Gravel Road Grants, and the Low Volume Road Grants they have replaced stream crossings on Byrnedale, Sheeley and Sawmill Run Roads totaling several hundred thousand dollars. These projects along with a few others have made quite a difference in flooding and maintenance issues. For the past 18 years Gradizzi has also held a position on the St. Marys Area Water Authority, with the past three years serving as chairman. Fox Townships currently has about 1,250 water authority customers on this system that has been a blessing to our community. We are currently working on replacing the pump line from Laurel Run to Gillen's Crossing and then from the pumping station to SR 948. Another project is a line replacement along Main Street and Dagus Mines Road. Last year all of the lines were replaced on Cherry and Upper Cherry Roads and we plan to resurface the roads this summer. Working together with my other two Supervisors we have been able to get quite a bit accomplished and all without raising taxes. There is always a lot going on within the Township and I would like to humbly ask for your support at the May 16 Primary and again on November 7. I will be on the Democratic ballot and ask my Republican supporters to please write me in on May 16.
