Voss announces candidacy for Elk County Auditor

Siobhan Voss has announced her intention to run for re-election for one of the three available positions of Elk County Auditor on the Democratic ticket in the upcoming 2023 election. All three current auditors are seeking re-election. Voss has held the elected position of Elk County Auditor since 2015.

Voss has been a selfemploy­ed court stenograph­er for the past 41 years having graduated from the Central Pennsylvan­ia Business School in Summerdale, Pennsylvan­ia with an Associate Degree in Business.

Ridgway Area High School in 1980, returning to the area in 1992 having resided in the Shelvey Summit section of Fox Township for 26 years and currently in Ridgway. This summer she will celebrate 38 years of marriage to her husband Todd who is retired from the Ridgway Area School District as a technology education teacher.

In addition to the skills and responsibi­lities of a self-employed stenograph­er, Voss currently participan­ts in area craft shows with her personaliz­ed embroidere­d beverage coozies and sweatshirt­s; has also worked as a legal secretary for various attorneys in their private practices; started entry level with Byram Business Credit and progressed through to financial officer; as well as worked together with her husband to design, construct and manage all the day to day operations of the original South Street Bagel Company previously located on South Street in Ridgway in the mid-1990s.

Voss is a self-motivated, task-oriented person who enjoys participat­ion in the winter dart leagues in Elk County, was the previous Golf League Chairperso­n for the Laurel Mills Ladies' Golf League, as well as has been a key organizer for the RHS Class of 1980 reunions held virtually every five years since her graduation and feels very confident in her abilities to continue to serve as an Auditor for the County of Elk.
