Angela M. Tyger, 51, of Theresia Street, St. Marys, passed away at home, on March 20, 2023, following a brief battle with cancer. She was born on February 12, 1972 in St. Marys, a Daughter of Thomas and Mary Laird Squires who survive.

On March 25, 2001, in Las Vegas, she married Robert Tyger, who survives. Together they shared more than 21 years of love and friendship. Angela was class president and a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, class of 1990, She earned her bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineerin­g from Penn State Behrend. Angie was employed for the past several years at SGL Carbon. In her free time, she loved spending time outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and camping. Angie enjoyed taking trips to the casino to play bingo and the slot machines. She touched the lives of everyone she met, always smiling, and cracking jokes. Angie adored her children, family, and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by one daughter; Ann Tyger, and one son; Jacob Tyger, both of St. Marys. She is also survived by two brothers; Chris Squires of Norristown, and Jason (Cheri) Squires of Altoona, one sister; Karen (David) Joshnick, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and her beloved dog Dixie.

Angela was preceded in death by her maternal grandparen­ts; Anna and Robert Laird, paternal grandparen­ts; William and Marie Squires, and by numerous aunts and uncles.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Angela M. Tyger will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 337 Center Street, St. Marys, PA 15857 with Fr. Thomas Curry OSB as celebrant.

Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, from 5-8 .m.
