Neomi D. Meloni, age 86, of Weedville, PA, died March 1, 2024 at Penn Highlands-DuBois, after a short illness. A daughter of the late LeRoy “Dutch” and Elizabeth “Ibbie” (Benson) Walters, she was born on June 24, 1937 in Penfield, PA. On September 8, 1956 she married Ralph Meloni, who predecease­d her on September 13, 2012.

Besides her parents and her husband, Neomi was preceded in death by: a sister, Aubrey Walters, a brother, Barry Walters, and the twins, Jack and Jill.

Neomi is survived by: two daughters, Laraine (John) Freemer and Cheryl Shimmel, both of Scattertow­n; a son, Chuck (Sue) Meloni of Grampian; a brother, Ted (Darlene Sherry) Walters of Emporium; grandchild­ren, Allison (Ben Schneider) Meloni, Allan Meloni, Samantha (Brandon Gagliardi) Shimmel, Kayla (Nate) Nasuti and Kristy (Casey) Richardson; greatgrand­children, Maddison (Jeff Lechien) Nicklas, Lila Grace Nasuti, Lucy Nasuti, Oakley Gagliardi, Adam Gagliardi, Aubrie Gagliardi, Wade Richardson, Brinley Richardson, Gina (Ben) Cappiello and David Schneider; and a half-brother, LeRoy (Lisa) Walters.

Living most of her life in Scattertow­n, Neomi has lived at St. Joseph Terrace of Weedville since November, 2016. She was a Huston Township High School Graduate, Class of 1955. She worked throughout her life in many jobs, was a member of the Bennetts Valley Senior Center and member of the Bennetts Valley Legion Auxiliary.

Public Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 2 – 4 p.m. at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home of Penfield, PA.

Funeral services will be held, 4 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home with Reverend Donald Smith.

Interment will take place in the St. Joseph Church Cemetery of Force, PA.
