Playland, EMA plan, among items on City Council’s Monday meeting agenda
ST. MARYS - A special presentation about the design of Playland from the St. Marys Parks and Recreation Department is among those listed on the upcoming meeting agenda for St. Marys City Council.
Council will gather on Monday at 7 p.m. for their regular monthly meeting in the council room situated in the basement of city hall.
A second presentation regarding the city’s Emergency Management Plan is also slated to take place during the meeting.
Under legislative action council will consider adopting two resolutions including adopting the city’s Emergency Operations Plan and amending the city’s fee schedule.
Council will also accept a bid for the Boys and Girls Club of St. Marys A.D.A. (American with Disabilities Act) Project, specifically regarding the use of CDBG (Community Development Block Grant) funding for the extensive project.
Council will also review a Local Economic Revitalization Tax Assistance Act (LERTA) application from Housler Family Eye Care in St. Marys. LERTA provides for tax abatements on improvements of commercial and industrial properties.
Two funding appropriation items will also be presented for council to vote on. The St. Marys Airport Authority is requesting matching funds from the city for a grant they secured through the state. The second funding request is related to the PA Wilds Remote Worker program.
These items are in addition to the regular agenda items including any topics for discussion, citizen comments on non-agenda topics and council comments along with the approval of minutes from council’s regular monthly meeting on February 19 and a special meeting on March 8.
The City Council meeting will be broadcast on the City television channel, Zito Media 96.2 and live streamed on The River 98.9 website.
