No. 12 Eric Mcgee of Lyman Memorial plays No. 4 Eric Sun of Ledyard in another quarterfin­al. Mcgee upset No. 5 Dana Aing of Waterford in the second round.

No. 2 J. P. Precourt of NFA also reached the quarterfin­als with a pair of straight set wins. His opponent has yet to be determined, as three second round singles matches will finish today.

No. 1 Tucker Murphy and Brett Pias of Waterford face No. 8 Ben Yao and Benny Dong of Waterford.

No. 2 Tim Hennessey and Kyle Barrett of Lyman Memorial plays No. 7 Unni Kurumbail and Matthew Lin of East Lyme.

No. 3 David Beaulieu and Gowtham Yenduri of East Lyme faces No. 6 Chris Lowry and Greg Meade of Woodstock.

No. 4 Srini Srirangam and Ryan Halperin of Fitch plays No. 5 Jamie Mckillop and Anthony Gallichio of Stonington.

Girls’ tennis

Waterford’s Nisha Rajamohan, seeded No. 12, is among the eight players who advanced to the quarterfin­als at the ECC girls’ tennis tournament at Stonington High School.

Rajamohan defeated No. 5 Gen Cohen of Woodstock Academy in the second round, 8-3. She will play No. 13 Melinda Li in today’s match, which begins at 3 p.m.

The other quarterfin­al matchups have No. 1 Annika Burgess of Stonington playing No. 8 Sherry Yang of East Lyme, No. 3 Chloe Slater of Stonington playing No. 6 Evelyn Luner of Waterford and No. 10 Emily Glass of Woodstock playing No. 2 Joan Li of East Lyme.
