New London— Rose M. Brown, 100, of 31 Vauxhall St., New London, formerly of Waterford, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at Beechwood Rehab & Nursing Center in New London.

Rose was born Jan. 23, 1914, in Waterford, the daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (Garigliano) Cascio. For 25 years, she was employed as an administra­tive assistant at General Dynamics, retiring in 1975.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Hedden and her husband, Richard, of Waterford; a daughter-in-law, Anna M. Brown of Groton; five grandsons, 12 greatgrand­children; and three great-great-grandchild­ren.

She was predecease­d by her husband, Charles J. Brown, whom she married in 1938 and together they shared 42 years of marriage. She was also predecease­d by a son, Charles R. Brown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, at St. Joseph Church, 17 Squire St., New London. Burial will follow in Jordan Cemetery, Boston Post Road, Waterford.

The Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Ave., New London, is assisting the family with the arrangemen­ts.
