Dive in to summer with free swim lessons

New London Recreation Department has been awarded $4,000 from the Community Development Block Grant to offer residents free swimming lessons. The classes are open to those registered in summer programs with the New London Rec Department, BP Learned Mission and the DropIn Learning Center.

Space is available on a first come, first served basis. Residents may register beginning June 30 at the New London Recreation Department, 120 Broad St. Lessons begin July 7 and run for six weeks. Classes are 45 minutes and are held between 9:30 a.m. and noon on Tuesday through Thursday at Ocean Beach Park.
