Caffrey, Killingly topple Stonington

Stonington — Austin Caffrey rushed for 154 yards and three touchdowns as Killingly rolled to a 35-0 football victory over Stonington on Friday night in the Eastern Connecticu­t Conference Small Division.

Caffrey's 49-yard TD run less than two minutes into the game set the tone for the Redmen (6-1, 4-1), who have won six straight since a season-opening loss to Griswold. He also had a pair of two-yard touchdown runs.

Spencer Lockwood added a 16-yard TD run for Killingly while Alex Fontaine returned a fumble two yards for another score.

Amadi White had there receptions for 27 yards for the Bears (1-6, 1-4).

Boys' soccer

• Williams School stormed back from a 3-0 deficit to tie the match, only to lose 4-3 when Master's converted a penalty kick with seven minutes remaining. Jack Hisle, Liam Griscom and Oliver Falla scored goals for the Blues and goalie Noah Bavolack made 13 saves.

Women's soccer

• Liz Young's goal with two seconds left in the second overtime gave Wesleyan a 2-1 win over Connecticu­t College in the New England Small College Athletic Conference.

Michelle Medina scored the lone goal for the Camels, who finish 3-8-3 overall and 0-7-3 in the NESCAC, while goalie Bryanna Montalvo made three saves.

H.S. field hockey

• Waterford ended its season on Thursday night with a 3-0 loss to Old Saybrook, which qualified for the state tournament with the victory.

Karena Bushey made 23 saves in goal for the Lancers, who finish the season 4-11-1.

H.S. volleyball

• Vanessa Kobyluck's 50 assists helped Waterford pull out a 3-2 win over East Lyme. Game scores were 28-30, 25-23, 25-14, 19-25 and 15-3. Teammates Jill Sykora (26 digs), Mickayla Shelburne (24 kills) and Haley Taylor (five aces) also contribute­d to the Lancers' (16-4) win. Alex Bell (31 assists), Maggie Powers (27 kills) and Madison Bell (29) digs paced the Vikings (14-4).

• New London defeated Grasso Tech 15-25, 27-25, 2025, 25-18 and 15-13 for its first win of the season.

Keila Lastraglio had 10 service points, six digs, three assists and four blocks for the Eagles, who finish 4-13, while Vanessa Parra added 10 service points, six digs and four kills.

Women's volleyball

• Becker College outlasted Mitchell College 25-15, 18-25, 25-21, 21-25 and 15-9 in the New England Collegiate Conference.

Amanda Garcia had 15 kills and five blocks for the Mariners, who finish their season 4-14 overall and 1-7 in the NECC.

• Connecticu­t College cruised to a 27-25, 25-20 and 28-26 victory over Middlebury in the New England Small College Athletic Conference. Ella Johnson had 14 kills for the Camels (16-6, 5-4) while Sam Hunter added 11 kills, Katia Elisman had 39 assists and 10 digs, Cailyn Straubel had 21 digs and Caroline Martin 10 digs.

Baseball

• The New England Collegiate Baseball League announced the addition of a 13th franchise that will begin play in the 2016 season.

The team, located in Hartford, Vt., does not have a mascot as of yet.

Last summer, the Mystic Schooners reached the NECBL championsh­ip series but fell short of a title.
