James Merrill fellow to read this evening
Merrill Fellow Lorrie Moore, the author of three novels and four collections of stories as well as the editor of several anthologies, will be at the La Grua Center at 5 tonight.
Moore has received numerous honors for her work, among them the Irish Times International Prize for Literature, a Lannan Foundation fellowship, and the PEN/Malamud Award. Her novel “A Gate at the Stairs” was considered for the 2010 Orange Prize and for the PEN/Faulkner. Her most recent collection, “Bark,” was considered for the Story Prize and the Frank O’Connor International Short Story Award.
The event is free and open to the public. A reception will follow and books will be available.
