June Richards

Mystic — June R. (Kane) Austin, Richards of Mystic, formerly of Stonington, passed away on Friday, Aug. 19, 2016, at Pendleton Nursing Home, Mystic.

Ms. Richards was born on June 8, 1938, in Philadelphia, Pa., to Delindia (Sharpless) Kane and Edward B. Kane, both deceased.

She was the wife of the late Arthur J. Richards. She lived at 75 Mechanic St., Pawcatuck. Before her stroke in 1994, she worked at Rutmans Furniture.

She has seven children by her first ex-husband, Albert M. Austin, deceased. They are Albert Austin of Westerly, Louis P. Austin (deceased), John Austin of Westerly, Pamella (Austin) Cornell of Ashaway, R.I., Robert Austin of Pawcatuck, Margaret (Austin) Bennett of Tennessee, and Daniel Austin of New York. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. No services are being held. Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home, New London, is handling the arrangements.
